Introduction to Nextdoor Ads

Joseph joined Nextdoor in May 2014 and serves as Global Public Agency & Disaster Preparedness & Response Lead. In his role, Joseph manages local, state, and federal relationships and Crisis Response in the US and Canada. He also serves as an internal partner to global public agency teams and country managers.

Before joining Nextdoor, Joseph established the Community Engagement consulting practice at GovDelivery (now Granicus) and created and managed National Preparedness Community (Community.FEMA.gov) on behalf of FEMA. Joseph also served as the nation's first Community Engagement Strategist for the Department of Homeland Security and worked for the Boston Police Department.

Joseph received a BA in Marketing and Business Management at Saint Michael's College and a Nonprofit Management and Leadership certificate at the Questrom School of Business and com and participated in Havard's National Preparedness Leadership Initiative and serves as a global ambassador for the initiative.

As a Nextdoor Client Partner, Lee Weissmann facilitates Nextdoor Ads campaigns for public agencies. Promoting messages pertaining to resource conservation, hiring, public safety, elections, community beautification, volunteering, and more is a large part of this role. Weissmann was appointed to Nextdoor's Public Agency Advisory Board - meeting quarterly with officials across the US and Canada and have spoken at California Water Association Annual Conference and #GSMCON 2023 among others. Prior to joining Nextdoor, Weissmann worked at Disney, ESPN, Los Angeles Times, and interned at the US Capitol and the California Legislature. He holds a B.A. from the University of California, Davis, and an EMBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology.
