🏷️ If your pet got lost today, could someone find you?
After a disaster, familiar smells and landmarks disappear. Pets panic. Fences get damaged. Even the most well-behaved animals end up miles from home.
The three things that most reliably bring pets home:
1️⃣ ID tag — collar with your current phone number. (Not the number from 2019. Check it today.)
2️⃣ Microchip — a permanent ID that can't fall off. If your pet is already chipped, log in right now and confirm your contact information is current with the microchip registry.
3️⃣ A photo — a clear, recent picture of your pet stored in your phone and your go-kit. If you become separated, this helps neighbors, shelters, and rescue workers identify them.
Bonus: a photo of you and your pet together documents ownership.
👉 Ready.gov and the CDC both recommend all three. Learn more: ready.gov/pets
Is your pet microchipped? Drop a ✅ or ❌ below — no judgment, just a good reminder for all of us.
